The hike” starting on the east side coast
Best way to discover the Mont-Saint-Michel with a truly bilingual guide as you walk towards it and immerse yourself in the natural environment of the bay.
Discover and dance on the quicksand, feel the current of the rivers, resource yourself in this breathtaking environment.
An exhilarating experience of 13km / 5h30-6h duration. This outing starts on the East side of the bay. Good physical ability and condition required.
Departing from the village of Saint-Leonard , we will take a short break at the foot of Mont Saint Michel and walk back.
Outing punctuated by breaks with commentary on the tides, the landscape, the fauna and the history and legends of Tombelaine, the Mont and the “Merveille”- the north face of the abbey, that can only be seen from the bay.
Crossing of rivers on 2 occasions with depths varying from 40-80cm. Accessible to children aged 7 and over who are used to walking and can be carried while crossing the river if necessary (depth + 60cm). 0-3 year olds must be carried on a rucksack (rucksack with shelter recommended).
Recommended clothing and equipment: bare foot, swimsuit/shorts, K-way, small towel, 1 rucksack/person, sun cream, hat, sunglasses, snack, water, 1 empty plastic bottle to be filled with water from the river to wash your feet, warm jumper or sweatshirt (according to the weather) and a change of clothes in your car.
Dogs are only allowed with prior agreement of the guide. They must be calm and kept on a lead.
